Emergence Ladies Cricket Club of Mvog-Ada and Academy Cricket Club of Douala have been crowned champions of the 2026 Cameroon Cup following the final played at Olembe Stadium on occasion of the Olembe Golden Week.

  • In Women’s Final, Emergence Ladies Cricket Club clinched the title after defeating Academy Cricket Club by 75–73 runs
  • In Men’s Final,Academy Cricket Club redeemed themselves in the men’s category, holding off Cheetahs Cricket Club to a 76–74 run win to claim the trophy.

The event was presided over by Mr. Yadasi André, representing the Minister of Sports, alongside Cameroon Cricket Federation President Sir Victor Agbor Nso. The dignitaries officially kicked off the matches and later presented the awards during the closing ceremony.

Accolades were distributed to both teams and standout individual performers, including awards for the Tournament Revelations (male and female), Man and Lady of the Match, runners-up, and the overall champions.

The ceremony also served as a stage to honor the 2026 Domestic League champions where Kop Pioneer Cricket Ladies got a trophy for securing the women’s league title, while Stallion Cricket Club took home the trophy for the men’s division.

Reflecting on the successful campaign, Federation President Sir Victor Agbor Nso praised the growth and competitive spirit of the sport in the country.

I am very satisfied and proud of the season we have had since launching in Douala”. “The final was fantastic, with a massive turnout. The men’s final was exceptional, and the women’s match was extraordinary both technically and tactically. Cameroonian cricket is rising to compete not only with other sports domestically, but also on the African and global stages”.
