FECACRICKET Extraordinary General Assembly

The Cameroon Cricket Federation (FECACRICKET) convened an Extraordinary General Assembly today, May 2, 2026, at the Pyramide Hotel in Yaoundé.

Chaired by the Federation President Sir Victor Agbor Nso, the session focused on refining institutional governance and accelerating an ambitious nationwide expansion strategy.

The meeting was attended by a broad spectrum of the cricket community, including official representatives from the Ministry of Sports, Delegates from five regions(Northwest, Southwest, West, Center, and Littoral)alongside other primary stakeholders to deliberate on the future of the sport.

After a formal verification of the quorum, the assembly moved swiftly to address critical administrative and ethical challenges. Amongst them, the General Assembly voted unanimously to remove Mr. Ndouteng Kamandja Narcisse from his position as Secretary General.

The assembly judged his activities as “horrible” regarding the ethics and values of cricket, citing violations against the Olympic & Sports Charter and the Federation’s constitution.

To ensure administrative continuity, the assembly has unanimously nominated Mr. Betieh Njoya Jacob, a Senior Sports and Physical Education teacher, as the Interim Secretary General. He will hold the office until the next elective General Assembly.

On the development front, the Federation expressed a strong commitment to grassroots growth with the Executive Bureau mandated to take immediate steps to “resurrect” the Regional Leagues of the North West and West, aiming to restore the dynamism they displayed at their inception.

The South West Region received a formal commendation for its consistent development work, with the President urging all regions to maintain this momentum.

In addition, the Federation has set an ambitious target to introduce cricket to at least two additional regions before the end of 2026, a move which is part of a strategic goal to have over seven active cricket-playing regions in Cameroon by the end of the year.
